The Redcliffe peninsula has one of the higher proportions of older residents in our service area, and that shapes the work. Much of what we do here is not dramatic hardware failure but everyday frustration – a device that changed after an update, a password that no longer works, a photo library nobody can find.
Salt air is a genuine factor closer to the water. We see more corrosion on ports and connectors around Redcliffe, Woody Point and Scarborough than anywhere else we visit, particularly on charging ports and older desktop cases.
Because the peninsula is a defined run for us, we try to group appointments there on the same day, which helps with getting you a time that suits rather than whatever is left.
Rothwell sits at the base of the peninsula, and it is where our shopfront used to be. A lot of the customers we look after there have been with us for years – the difference now is that we come to them, rather than the other way around.
