Local North Brisbane Tech Support
Local North Brisbane Tech Support
Tec Wiz comes to homes, retirement villages and small businesses across Deception Bay for onsite computer repairs, laptop screen replacements, phone and tablet repairs and patient tech support. No drop-offs, no waiting a week for a callback.
Deception Bay is the suburb we spend more time in than any other. Our Tech Station shopfront sat just up the road at Rothwell for a decade, so plenty of the people we look after here have been customers since long before Tec Wiz went mobile. The difference now is that we come to them.
A good deal of that work is in the retirement villages. We are in and out of Palm Lake Resort on Webster Road, and The Village on Buchanan Road just over at Rothwell, often enough to know the residents by name. Village tech support is its own thing – compact units, shared Wi-Fi that can be temperamental, and people who would far rather be shown how something works than have it done silently over their shoulder.
The suburb itself has been changing. Deception Bay has become a genuinely popular waterfront option for people priced out of the peninsula, and that shows up in the work: long-established households on one street, young families setting up a first home network on the next.
Being on the water, we see the same corrosion here that we see around Redcliffe. Charging ports and connectors cop the worst of it, particularly on phones and tablets that live near an open window or come down to the foreshore.
We also look after iPad repairs for a local school, which keeps us in the area most weeks. In practice that means Deception Bay is rarely a wait – it is usually a question of which day suits you, rather than when we can next get out there.
