Hi, I’m Adam Casperson – the person who actually turns up at your door.
I’ve been pulling computers apart, and mostly getting them back together again, since I was about seven years old. That tinkering never really stopped. It turned into a career, and eventually into a business of my own.
Before I worked for myself I spent years in the mobile industry, with Telstra, Vodafone and 3 Mobile. That is where I learned to explain technology to people who did not want a lecture – they just wanted the thing in their hand to work. It is also why phones and tablets are as familiar to me as computers are.
Tech Station began in 2015 with one small shop on Anzac Avenue at Kallangur. Over the following decade it grew to four stores across the north side – Kallangur, then Rothwell, Murrumba Downs and Warner – which I co-owned. Rothwell was the one that ran longest: ten years of repairs, and a lot of regulars who came in as much for a chat as for a fix.
Tec Wiz is the next chapter of that same business – same hands, same approach. The difference is that I come to you now, rather than you coming to me. Between those four shops I have worked in most corners of this region, which is why I rarely need directions.
Going mobile was a deliberate choice. Plenty of my customers found getting to a shop difficult, particularly older customers, and plenty more simply could not spare a week without their computer. Working onsite means the fix happens where the problem is, and you can watch exactly what I am doing at your own kitchen table.
Technology does not sit still, so neither do I. I am always reading, testing, and taking something apart to see how it works – which is the same thing I was doing at seven, just with better tools. That curiosity is what keeps me genuinely useful to my customers.
Today Tec Wiz serves households and small businesses right across North Brisbane and Moreton Bay – from Caboolture and Elimbah in the north, down through North Lakes, Petrie and Strathpine to Aspley and Chermside, and out west to Samford, Dayboro and Woodford.
We measure a good job not just by what got fixed, but by how much calmer you feel about your devices afterwards.
We slow down, repeat things without a sigh, and write simple step-by-step notes so you are not left guessing after we leave.
You get a clear quote before any work starts — and if something is not worth fixing, we tell you honestly rather than charge for it anyway.
No lugging a tower to a shop and waiting a week. We diagnose and repair onsite wherever possible, at a time that suits you.
We are based on the North side and know the difference between Narangba and Ningi. You are talking to a local, not a call centre.
Tell us what is going on and we will book an onsite visit that suits you.
